• Using public Wi-Fi hotspots would encourage its penetration across the country. 
• One of the objectives of this scheme is also to promote Digital India.

Yes, it is possible to commence public wifi at any gram panchayat simiti’s following two things are required:-

A. Shopkeeper to get Registered as PDO
B. Broadband internet connectivity at that location.

Digital education in remote areas – This will enable all the villages and Panchayat Samitis, who were so far, were unable to use internet, enjoy all advantages of internet. This will specifically enhance the child education via online classes, which is a mandate these days due to COVID.
